Funny.

It's pretty entertaining what people feel like they can say to a pregnant woman, that they probably wouldn't ever say otherwise (or at least I hope). Today I was asked how much longer I had till I was due. When I said March, the response was: "Wow. By looking at you, I would have guessed any day." Really? After I recovered from the laughter, I tried to let the well-meaning man (who is married with children) know that that's not something a pregnant lady wants to hear! That got me thinking about some of the better comments I heard over my two pregnancies...

"You look fluffy." (yes, fluffy)
"You're really starting to gain weight in the hips."
"I could have sworn you were having a girl b/c you're carrying it so widely."
"It's okay you're showing early - your stomach muscles are shot from your last baby."

Ah, the entertainment.

All I can say is that I only hope to look as good as you when I'm pregnant. By the way, you need to bring Ethan over to meet Emmett! Sorry we couldn't stay around after church today to chat! Talk to you soon!

You're sweet! I can't wait to see what you look like when you're pregnant... :) Until then, we'll have to schedule a play date for Emmett and Ethan. Miss ya, friend!

ah hahahaha I'm sooo glad I didn't make any of those comments in there! hahaha BTW You look just like last time. You can't even tell you're prego unless you see you from the side. Very impressive.

I have given some of the men in my life tutorials on what NOT to say to pregnant women . . . "you must be due any day" is at the top of the list, along with the shocked disbelief that there aren't two babies in there. Last week I bought a TON of candy to decorate Will's birthday cake, and the girl working at the store looked at my pregnant belly and then asked if it was my "daily snack." Lovely.

I remember 1 other comment someone said to you that didn't even have to do with being pregnant, and it was just so awful: You're almost as thin as me!"
A week before Victoria's due date, a Harley biker said, "Girl, when was you due, yesterday?" I cracked up and loved it.
I haven't seen you this time, but I know you look amazing. You won't be fluffy forever. ~christine
